I don't know about you, but my January was way too exhausting to even think about my goals for this year. Between the holidays, a big move, and everything else, I felt like I was just trying to keep my head above water.
Now it's February, and maybe you're feeling that pang of "uh oh, I'm behind" when it comes to those New Year's resolutions. But here's the good news: goal setting isn't just a "set it and forget it" thing. It's an ongoing process, and it's never too late to start (or restart!).
If you're feeling like you missed the boat, or maybe you've started and already feel off track, I want to share something that's helped me tremendously.
Six years ago, I started a practice of reflection and goal-setting, and it's become my anchor. It's not just about setting resolutions; it's about deeply considering:
Who do I want to spend my time with?
What experiences bring me joy?
How can I align my actions with my values?
How can I integrate my beliefs and cultural rituals into my life?
What work truly energizes me?
I developed a structured reflection process, revisiting my goals every three months to stay on track. I capture everything – book titles I want to read, recipes I want to try, gift ideas, and, of course, my goals. This document has become a treasure trove of clarity and intention.
The impact has been profound. I'm more balanced, focused, and fulfilled. I've read more books, achieved meaningful goals, and feel less overwhelmed. Most importantly, I'm a better parent, partner, friend, and, above all, more true to myself.
I've created a free Reflection & Goal-Setting Guide to share this transformative process with you. Whether you're facing a major life change, feeling overwhelmed, or just seeking more clarity and direction, this guide can help you create a roadmap for a more intentional and fulfilling life – no matter what time of year it is.
